When i pluged in my hdmi cable into my playstation then into my tv it messed up my display. ?

When i play gta4 i can barley see my minimap. Idk wat to do. I tryed looking threw my menu for my tv there's no zoom or anything. And i tryed to plug it back to regular video and it aint working. Plz help me.
