Gay Men: does sweat turn you off?

I was discussing this with my gay friend. He was having sex with his boyfriend last week. He was telling me his sweat was turning him on. I read something on human history and evolution. Back before we had old spice and odor blockers. The odor we find today gross and smelly, was actually something sexual partners would find sexually arousing. So is sweat good or bad for you. My friend also said, sweat is just a mans way of showing how hard he is trying to please his boyfriend or girlfriend.
