Would overtighened lawn mower blade freeze up the spindle?

I bent one of my riding mower blades. Couldn't get the bolts loose. Took the deck to my buddy's shop and he took them off with his impact. Put them back on with it too (shoulda used a torque wrench). Got it home and noticed the blades won't spin. Can't get back to try to loosen it for a couple days. So can you cause the whole spindle to freeze by overtightening and will loosening fix it,or should I be shopping for spindles?
