My ball joint snapped in half while replacing it. can anyone help?

ok. i was replacing my lower ball joints in my 87 deville when the ball joint snapped in half while trying to separate it from the spindle/knuckle. the post is stuck in it. i have the nut off but it just won't drop out. i can't use a ball joint separator because there is nothing to wedge against.
