Can I use Beta Blockers or Benzo's with past asthma?

I'm 18 and was recently put on SSRI's for a severe anxiety disorder. I want to use either Beta Blockers or Benzo's also. But here's the thing, when I was 7 years old I had asthma problems. Is there anyway I could go on them?
