Beta blockers propranolol please read?

Yesterday I went into hospital with a racing heart my heart seemed totally fine so they but it down to my anxiety and panic attacks yesterday I was given beta blockers just one tablet and they then sent me home.. Today my heart rate is between 60 and 85 and my bp is 109/63. The doctor wants me to take propranolol 80mg one a day... For my anxiety is it fine to take these when my heart rate and bp is fine today..
